Arizona colleges saw more students amid pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic turned the academic world on its head for more than a year and its effects are still being felt in higher education today.

In early 2020, colleges and universities had to contend with a quick pivot to virtual learning and determine how to keep the virus at bay on tightly-packed campuses. No college — four-year or two-year — has been left completely unscathed in the virus’ wake, especially in terms of enrollment.
