Arizona charity groups feed those in need through COVID-19 crisis

While the weather is (finally) cooling across the Valley of the Sun, the spirit of giving is heating up as area charity groups endeavor to feed the hungry through this difficult holiday season.

Leveraging loyal donors and dutiful volunteers, area nonprofit organizations are working to bring comfort to those most vulnerable, while navigating the challenges of operating during the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis.

Phoenix-based Feeding Matters focuses its philanthropy on caring for children with pediatric feeding disorder, a life-threatening condition estimated to afflict 2.3 million under the age of five in the U.S., according to the group.
