Arizona cattle ranch expects continued positive meat consumption trends

Plant-based restaurants make moves, while meat continues to thrive

While you may not have heard about Gila River Cattle on your local radio station or at your grocer, the local cattle ranch has been up to their necks in work trying to meet the demands of its customers.

Recent trends have shown increased interest in plant-based diets, with Scottsdale ranking as the eighth most vegan and vegetarian-friendly city in the country, according to a 2017 Cronkite News report. Although, the 2021 version of the data referenced ranks Scottsdale at 27.

This could come as a concern to local ranchers invested in the meat industry as different meat-alternatives become more popular, however, according to Gila River Cattle, business has been better than ever.
