Arizona Broadway Theatre has announced its season kickoff musical, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," which runs from Sept. 29 to Nov. 4.

"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is a biblical-inspired musical comedy, based on the Book of Genesis, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

This tale follows the adventures of Joseph, his father Jacob, 11 brothers, and the coat of many colors. The musical, filled with memorable songs like "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door," is a celebration of resilience, forgiveness, and the power of dreams.

Ken Urso returns to direct. His most recent credits include ABT’s "The Wizard of Oz" and "Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville."

The cast of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" includes talented alumni returning to Arizona Broadway Theatre. Jazmin Noel Mohring whose last role at ABT was Sandy Cheeks in "Spongebob: The Musical," is coming back as the Narrator. Tyler Pirrung who led in "Elf: The Musical" takes the stage as Issacher/Butler. Tyler Gallaher, notably known for his role as the hilarious Brick in "Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville," and most recently, Professor Scheider in "Disaster!" will be fulfilling the role of Simeon. And Andrew N. Ruggieri, last seen in ABT’s "Happy Days The Musical" returns to the mainstage, playing the iconic role, Joseph. The cast is majorly made up of alumni, which is an exemplary expression of Arizona Broadway Theatre’s workforce that strives to create jobs and strong community for people in the industry.

Tickets for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and the entire 2023-24 season are now available for purchase. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit AZBROADWAY.org or contact the ABT box office at 623-766-8400 ext. 0.
