A lot goes into selecting a venue for the Arizona Black Rodeo, and WestWorld of Scottsdale, 16601 N. Pima Road, is the chosen locale for the annual cultural corral.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2-3, range from $22 at the gate to limited $40 VIP tickets.
There will be a showcase of local and national African American rodeo competitors spotlighting bull riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, steer undecorating, ladies barrel racing, relay races and “the crowd favorite mutton bustin’ and calf scramble for the little ones,” according to a press release, detailing the “hottest show on dirt.”
