Arizona Bike Week marks record attendance of 85,000

One of the largest motorcycle events in the Southwest, Arizona Bike Week 2023 reported its highest attendance yet: 85,000 visitors.
That’s 10,000 more people than the previous year and its largest crowds to date, according to a press release.
“This was our first year as an all-woman owned bike rally and we are incredibly proud to have reached this milestone,” Lisa Cyr, organizer and part-owner of Arizona Bike Week, said in the release. “The weather was ideal and between all the charity rides, entertainment, concerts and the multitude of newly added attractions, we feel this truly was our best year yet.”
Of the 85,000 attendees that made their way to WestWorld of Scottsdale, Cyr said more than 40% were from out of state.
Saturday was the most highly attended day and night of the rally, with a custom bike show and Staind performing in the RockYard that night, the release stated.
The week was action-packed with aerial and freestyle stunt shows, demo rides and live music that featured Billy Idol, Staind, Megadeth and Texas Hippie Coalition.
There were two different stunt shows. The Brigade FMX team performed aerial stunts at heights over 35 feet, and the Client Ewing Freestyle team showed off their street stunts.
A new attraction at Arizona Bike Week was the All-Out Dyno Drags. Participants were able to hook up their own motorcycles to safely race head-to-head against one another.
The PowerYard also offered entertainment throughout the week with two bar tents on site with food, drinks, games, competitions, raffle drawings and auctions.
There were three different bike shows in the PowerYard, including one just for women riders.
Arizona Bike Week attendees helped raise money through charity rides as well.
“As always, the biker community was extremely philanthropic this year. Hundreds of riders gathered each day to participate in the five charity rides that went on during the event. These rides raised funds for everything from children’s hospitals to cancer foundations,” Cyr said in the release.
On Sunday, the final day of Arizona Bike Week, organizers turned the HandleBar stage over to the young musicians from Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers. Six teen bands, who were all finalists in Solid Rock’s annual music competition, performed throughout the day.
Arizona Bike Week made a $5,000 donation to Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock, which went in part to the teen centers and to the bands that performed that day.
This year’s sponsors included Jack Daniel’s, Paul Yaffle’s Bagger Nation, City of Scottsdale, Miller Lite, Dirty Dogg Saloon, Earnhardt Genesis of North Scottsdale, Hot Leathers, M Culinary, Kimmyz Rock & Roll Bar & Grill, Law Tigers, Old School Tattoo, Pride Group, Slaughterhouse WTH Bar and WestWorld of Scottsdale.
