Arizona Attorney General files suit against Greenburg, SUSD

Complaint alleges school district violated open meeting law

The Scottsdale Unified School District governing board violated the state’s open meeting law in August 2021, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is alleging in a new lawsuit.

Brnovich filed a lawsuit June 20 in the Superior Court of the state of Arizona against current school board member and former board president, Jann-Michael Greenburg, and the entire Scottsdale Unified School District.

Brnovich, who is seeking election to the U.S. Senate, alleges the school district violated the state’s open meeting law at multiple school board meetings in August 2021 when public comment was restricted by Greenburg.
