Arizona at 17,151 deaths of COVID-19

Arizona has added 480 cases and subtracted two deaths of COVID-19, according to the state Department of Health Services.

As of the morning of Saturday, April 17, the ADHS reports 853,050 positive cases and 17,151 deaths of the coronavirus.

  • Mohave County: 698
  • Navajo County: 523
  • Pima County: 2,381
  • Pinal County: 862
  • Santa Cruz County: 174
  • Yavapai County: 495
  • Yuma County: 827

For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. But for some — especially older adults and people with existing health problems — it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and death.
