Arizona arts school gets new board members

Arizona School for the Arts elected four new people to its board of directors, the group announced.

Leona Abraham, Carrie Larson, Lorisa Pombo and Annette Zinky — were all elected, a press release stated.

"I am excited to welcome these four dynamic leaders who bring new perspectives and diverse experiences to our board," said Leah Fregulia, head of school and CEO for Arizona School for the Arts. 

Abraham,  a program manager and senior communications practitioner, has 20 years  of advising experience ranging from emergency management to justice reform. 

Larson is an educator and co-founded Phoenix Collegiate Academy. She is the current program manager for Valley's Leadership's Catalyze Program.

Pombo, a Peoria High School graduate,  is the academic director of curriculum, instruction and assessment at Creighton Elementary School District in Phoenix. 

Zinky, an entrepreneur, is the chief operating officer at TheraSpecs — an eyewear company.
