Arcadia High School was placed in lockdown Monday due to reports of a suspicious person on campus.
Phoenix Police responded to the scene and confirmed the person was a student. The student was taken into custody but no arrests were made, officials said.
No weapons were found, nor was any threat identified. The campus was then put into a modified lockdown to accommodate those parents wishing to pick up their student(s), according to a Facebook post by the Scottsdale Unified School District.
Teaching and learning continued with students remaining in their classrooms.
Due to its close proximity, nearby Tavan Elementary School was temporarily put in a modified lockdown, but its regular school day resumed as well.
