Aqua-Tots Swim Schools has reopened its Surprise location, 13833 W. Bell Road, Suite 104, after a temporary closure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Aqua-Tots Swim Schools has created a “Full Circle of Safety” program with guidance from the US Swim School Association, the CDC and local government officials. Full Circle of Safety focuses on a modified swim school environment for the health of all students, families and staff as well as upholding the safety of swim lessons and facility cleanliness.
“We are excited to reopen our doors to serve the West Valley community,” Aqua-Tots Swim Schools franchise owner Jamie Cartledge stated in a news release. “The world has changed in recent months, but water safety and swim lessons are more important than ever as families are going to be spending more time at home and around the water.”
On the heels of the worldwide pandemic and debuting during the start of an Arizona summer when most drowning accidents happen, the new Full Circle of Safety measures at Aqua-Tots Swim Schools will feature:
Limited in-school attendance to one parent/guardian and the swim student only
Limited number of people in the lobby and pool area
Daily wellness and temperature checks for all staff
Face masks for front desk staff and face shields or full snorkel masks for coaches
Curriculum adjustments to reduce face-to-face exposure and social distancing during swim lessons
Enhanced school-wide sanitation procedures throughout the day
Hand sanitizing stations for continuous use
Increased pool chemistry checks throughout the day
Sanitation of all pool toys used in lessons
Lobby chairs adjusted to meet social distancing guidelines
Play area temporarily closed
Rescheduled group or private lessons for swimmers experiencing symptoms
Small class sizes with a maximum of five people including one instructor
Retrained and recertified staff for post COVID-19 water safety education
Since its establishment in 1991, the first Aqua-Tots’ location was in Mesa. Visit aqua-tots.com.
