Aqua-Tots sounds alarm on water safety

Posted

With July 4th just around the corner, Aqua-Tots is sounding the alarm on water safety and highlighting the tragic statistics surrounding drowning incidents.

Drowning is the leading cause of death for children under the age of four, according to the CDC, and the second leading cause for children five to 14. As families prepare to celebrate Independence Day, it is crucial that they do so safely.

In fact, a staggering 69% of children younger than five were not expected to be at or in the pool at the time of a drowning incident. These tragic accidents can happen in a matter of seconds—with adults close by—and Aqua-Tots  believes it is their responsibility to raise awareness to prevent such incidents from occurring.

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools, which has a location in Peoria, is committed to promoting water safety and providing children with the necessary skills to stay safer in and around water. Aqua Tots offers a proven and effective swim program that focuses on survival skills, stroke development, and building confidence in young swimmers. By equipping children with these essential life skills, Aqua-Tots aims to reduce the risk of drowning and ensure a safer environment for families all year long.
