April Showers golf tournament coming to Sun City

Posted

Sign up for the April Showers 2024 golf tournament begins Friday, Dec. 1, at all Sun City pro shops.

The event is scheduled for March 28, 29 and 30. The first day will be pre-tournament and para-mutual party with a barbecue dinner; March 29 features the best ball scramble; and March 30 will be the Chapman and awards banquet.

April Showers is a 27-year-old couples tournament. Those needing a partner can be assigned one by the tournament committee. Cost is $140 per couple and includes day and tournament money, certs, tournament party, tee prizes and meals at both the pre-tournament party and awards banquet.

Volunteers run the tournament and all money collected goes to the winning participants after expenses. Golfers must belong to the Sun City men’s or women’s golf associations or with an organization that can verify current handicaps.
