A 72-unit apartment complex with two- and three-bedroom units is to be constructed west of Gilbert Road and south of Broadway Road in Mesa.
The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board on June 28 voted 5-0 on a consent agenda with other items to recommend that the city council rezone 3.5 acres to multiple residence-4 with a new planned area development overlay and major site plan modification for Reed Park Residences. Absent were Vice Chair Benjamin Ayers and board member Genessee Montes.
Pedestrian paths are planned around the buildings and leading to amenities at the site, Planner Jennifer Merrill said at a study session prior to the meeting.
