A longtime car dealership is moving out of north-Central Chandler — and it could be replaced by more than 400 apartments.
Earnhardt Chevrolet, which opened its Arizona Avenue / Warner Road location in 1986, has mostly completed a new Queen Creek facility on Ellsworth Road, near Cloud Road. That’s freeing up a 14.1-acre site along Arizona Avenue where a Valley developer wants to build 420 apartments.
The Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission recommended, at its Sept. 18 meeting, the rezoning, preliminary development plan and plat approval for a project called Toll Brothers Uptown.
