Apache Junction towing contracts extended to June

The contracts beginning in July will be for 10 years, according to the contract extension documents for Apache Sands Towing, CL King Towing and Phoenix Metro Towing.

Vehicle-towing contracts with Apache Junction Police Department that were to expire April 5 have been extended through June.

The city council on Feb. 20 voted 6-0 to approve the extension through June 30 of the individual towing contracts in place with Apache Sands Towing, CL King Towing and Phoenix Metro Towing. Vice Mayor Robert Schroeder was absent.

The current contracts went into effect in April 2017, Management Analyst Robert Wisler said during the council meeting.
