Apache Junction school district awarded $17.8M in ESSER funds

Apache Junction Unified School District has spent some of its allocation of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds in four areas.

ESSER funds have been spent on staff, technology, supplies and curriculum, AJUSD Interim Superintendent Heather Wallace said.

“We began spending the money in 2019-20 after the grant was approved and the money will be spent over three years,” she said.
