Apache Junction residential trash service schedule changes slated for holidays

Some residents of the city of Apache Junction will see a rescheduling of their normal trash pickup days during the holidays.
Residents who normally have their trashed picked up on Fridays will have their containers emptied on the Saturdays after Christmas and New Year’s Day, according to a release.
The city is split into two zones. The west and north sides will have regular trash pickup on Monday and Thursday of each week. But the southeast region that is scheduled for Tuesday/Friday pickup will see its Friday pickup pushed back to Saturday, Dec. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 2, for the two holiday weeks.
The regular schedule will resume the week of Jan. 4, 2021.
Regular Wednesday bulk pickup is not affected by the holidays.
