The Apache Junction Police Department is partnering with Mesa Police Department for driving-track, firearms and force/defensive tactics-related training.

Authorizing an intergovernmental agreement for cooperative law enforcement training operations with the city of Mesa will be considered by the Apache Junction City Council at a meeting that begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the council chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.

If approved, the agreement would run through May 3, 2027, with the option for two additional two-year renewals, AJPD Lt. Seth Painter said during the council’s June 1 work session.
