Apache Junction’s parks, recreation fees may be going up in some areas

Fees may be added for non-resident and for-profit business rentals of parks and recreation facilities as Apache Junction seeks to align its charges with those from other cities and towns.

“Overall we are not recommending changing very many of our fees at all for our residents and our nonprofits,” Parks and Recreation Director Liz Langenbach told the City Council during a recent meeting.

The proposed changes are to be brought back to the council in 60 days for a public hearing and vote on changes, she said.
