Apache Junction church seeks rezoning to sell land section

Rezoning property owned by Crossroads Southern Baptist Church at the northeast corner of Starr Road and Old West Highway in Apache Junction so it can be split off and sold will be discussed by the city council at a meeting Tuesday.

The council meets at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 in the council chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.

The Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission on Aug. 23 voted unanimously to recommend that the city council approve rezoning the more than 1.25-acre property to the south of the church.
