Anton Joseph Tesarek

Anton Joseph "Tony" TesarekAnton Joseph "Tony" Tesarek of Sun City died April 6, 2007. He was born in Hopkins, Minn., on April 15, 1920 and spent his early days in Minnesota. He and his wife, Helen, were married in 1945 and celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2005 with a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. An avid sports fan, he was a charter member of the Minneapolis Minute Men, a group instrumental in bringing professional sports to the area. He also was a member of the Lions Club for 60 years and once served as division manager for Lions Clubs in the Chicago area. The Tesareks retired to Sun City and divided their time between Sun City and San Luis Obispo, Calif., for the last 21 years. Survivors include his wife, Helen; nephews, Paul and Robert Tesarek, Roger Johnson and their families; godchild, Vicki Breault and cousins in Czechoslovakia and the United States. Donations may be made to the Savation Army.
