Anthem water improvements expected to be complete in May

An $8 million water project that streamlines existing infrastructure with new improvements has been seamless for Anthem residents, according to officials.

Last fall, Phoenix Water Services installed a new water and sewer main to connect some Anthem residents to the city of Phoenix water system. The project affects Anthem residents who live on the west side of Interstate 17.

The project’s last stage will include improvements to an existing pump station that helps move water from lower to higher elevations, according to Project Manager Josh Smith of Phoenix Water Services.
