JAN. 20
The Annual Anthem MLK Day Celebration will take place 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, starting at the Anthem Civic Building, 3701 W. Anthem Way.
Besides the mile walk, there will be other ways for those attending to honor the memory and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., including donations to several organizations that need clothing, hygiene products and non-perishable pantry items.
Anybody participating in the unity walk is encouraged to wear proper footwear for the path on cement and other paved, manufactured materials, event organizers said in a release.
