Annual Tempe Community Survey open for comments

Independent Newsmedia
The annual Tempe Community Survey is available now through Aug. 31.
Resident responses allow Tempe city leadership and staff to identify and address many of the opportunities and challenges facing our community. Results of the survey help determine priorities for the community as part of our ongoing strategic planning process. Several of Tempe’s performance measures are affected by the outcomes of this survey, according to a news release from the city.
"We want to ensure that our programs and services measure up to the expectations of our residents and businesses," said Tempe Mayor Corey Woods in a prepared statement. "The survey data helps us determine where to direct time, funding and resources, making this survey a valuable tool for informing decisions with data."
Last year, more than 1,100 households completed the survey, providing a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least 2.9%. ETC Institute, the company that administers the survey, also ensures that there is a diversity of respondents in terms of age, ethnicity, gender and Tempe character area.
