Peoria’s annual Dolly Sanchez Memorial Easter Egg Hunt will return to the Peoria Sports Complex onSaturday, April 15. The event was held in downtown Peoria last year due to the spring training activities at the complex.
This family event provides a variety of activities to celebrate Easter and the spring season. This year’s event features candy hunts, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, games, inflatables, make and take crafts and entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be available for photos, along with a special selfie photo booth.
This spring festival will take place 8 a.m.-noon April 15 at the complex, 16101 N. 83rd Ave. The candy hunt times are below and include a hunt time geared for participants who have disabilities: age 1 – 8:20 a.m.; age 2 – 8:45 a.m.; age 3 – 9:10 a.m.; age 4 – 9:30 a.m.; age 5 – 9:50 a.m.; age 6 – 10:10 a.m.; ages 7 and 8 – 10:25 a.m.; ages 9 and 10 – 10:40 a.m.; and individuals with disabilities – 11 a.m.
Admission and parking are free with canned food, which benefits the St. Mary’s/Westside Food Bank Alliance. Some activities require a nominal fee. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
