Two proposed annexations totaling 338 acres on Ellsworth Road are topics of public hearings before the Mesa City Council on Jan. 11.
The hearings are required prior to the release of petitions for signatures for the proposed annexations.
Following each public hearing, an annexation petition will be released for property owner signatures. Once the signatures have been received, an annexation ordinance will be scheduled for the council’s consideration and adoption, according to a memo to the council from Development Services Director Christine Zielonka and Planning Director Nana Appiah.
