Anita Pamila Kay

Anita Pamila KayAnita Pamila Kay died Dec. 29, 2006. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she and her family moved to Los Angeles, Calif., when Anita was five years old. She graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1963. After high school, Anita went on a tour of Europe in 1964. She worked in credit and collections. She married Ron Kay in 1970 in Las Vegas, Nev., and in 1971 the two had a big wedding and were married by a rabbi. Anita and Ron moved to Phoenix in 1990 and Sun City in 1993. Anita was diagnosed with Miniere"s disease in 1973 and spent the last several years in a wheelchair. In 2001 she had a radical mastectomy. After chemotherapy she experienced pain in her low abdomen. Although doctors could find nothing wrong, cancer had returned and a cyst was found on her uterus and liver. She is survived by her husband, Ronald, and brother, Harvey Arkawy of Lancaster, Calif.
