APACHE JUNCTION - Anita Beth (Aase) Berg was born in Thief River Falls, Minn., April 24, 1942 passed May 6, 2015 surrounded by family. She was of the Lutheran faith. Anita was raised in Gatzke, Minn., where she met Gene Berg. Anita married Gene Berg October 10, 1959 in Gatzke, Minn. She also lived in North Dakota and Colorado. She began working at Northglenn Sr. High School in Northglenn, Colo. in 1974 and retired from there in 2002. During her career she had a focus on helping students that sometimes were forgotten and often needed a little extra love and guidance. Anita was a fan of the Denver Broncos as well as the Colorado Rockies and enjoyed playing online gambling, slots, and black jack. She kept in touch with family and friends through Facebook. Anita found great pleasure in cooking/baking for gatherings of family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Gene Berg; children, Russell Berg of Federal Heights, Colo., Terri (Rick) Archer of Arvada, Colo., Randall (Pamela) Berg of Trenton, Ga., and Trudi Berg of Westminster, Colo.; grandchildren, Kyndra Berg, Jacob Berg, Krystle Mullen, Corey LaFray, Chris LaFray, Jorden Berg, and Natalie Berg. She is also survived by three sisters and numerous relatives and friends. Anita was preceded in death by her parents Edith and Juell Aase.
