A Valley family has broken ground on a new seafood restaurant in Chandler, with construction underway on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Queen Creek roads.
The Appiah family will be opening the latest location of the Arizona-based seafood boil restaurant, expected to open in spring 2026.
The location is a milestone in the brand’s Arizona growth as it's the first Angry Crab Shack to be built entirely from the ground up.
Founded in 2013 by Ron Lou, Angry Crab Shack is a locally owned and operated seafood restaurant group headquartered in Mesa. There are 15 locations across Arizona and more opening this year.
The Appiah family are franchise partners and are Gilbert residents. The new location will feature Angry Crab Shack’s signature casual dining fare, known for its seafood boil with bold Asian-Cajun flavors.
The Chandler restaurant will also participate in the company’s ongoing charitable initiatives, including its support for veterans, children’s hospitals and local food banks.
The address is 3033 S. Gilbert Road.
For more updates on the opening date, visit angrycrabshack.com or follow @AngryCrabShack on social media.
