Anderson will not seek reelection to Florence Council

Veteran Florence Town Councilmember John Anderson will not be running for a third term. He made the announcement this morning.

Anderson, 82, was elected eight years ago. He said it was time to let other people on the council who could bring different ideas to the town.

“I’ve done about all I can do,” he said with a laugh. “It's just my turn to let somebody else try to run the town now.”
