This is in reference to a letter (“How can anyone trust Trump?” Sun City West Independent, Dec. 29, 2021) about the former president.

I happen to be a conservative Republican. Yes, Donald Trump’s personality and his choice of words are not the best, but he gets the job done. His personal business ventures, as long as they are within the law, are his problems.

I ask Trump haters to name one thing he did wrong as president and they stammer and stutter and cannot think of one.

I’ll tell you what he did do. He accomplished and got passed more than 100 major items that benefit the United States of America. He just about completed a wall along our southern border until Joe Biden stopped it. He got us energy independence until Biden stopped it. He got the Keystone pipeline on track to move oil from the Dakotas to refineries, but Biden stopped that.

Trump put a tariff on Chinese imports to try to get more than 70,000 factories that moved to China (mostly under Barrack Obama’s eight years) back to the U.S. Unemployment went down to 3.5%, millions got off food stamps, we had the largest tax reform in history, the death tax was eliminated, he cut business tax to 21%.

All these helped to create a roaring economy and stock market. Trump got the virus vaccine developed in less than one year, had a ventilator production fast-tracked and had these items shipped worldwide.

Under our current administration, we have left-wing liberal socialism developing at a fast rate. They want open borders, no police force, prisoners released and pay to not work.

No consequences for stealing as much as $1,000 in some places, teaching anti-Americanism and anti-patriotism in some schools, no consequences for burning down sections of some cities and stealing everything out of some stores and no attempt to stop illegal drugs from Mexico, which is killing 90,000 people per year.

Like Trump said, we have nothing but a cesspool in Washington, D.C. Liberal socialism lives off capitalism until it runs out of money, then you have chaos like in Venezuela.
