Amount of Arizona travelers expected to break record during holidays

A potential record 2.3 million Arizonans are expected to hit the road during the holidays, according to AAA Arizona.

The amount of Arizonans planning to travel would break the previous record by 64,000 travelers, which was set in 2019, according to a press release.

“The year-end holidays are a time to reconnect with loved ones and honor family traditions — with millions traveling by air and road to be together,” said Cyndi Zesk, senior vice president of travel for AAA Arizona in a press release. “With Christmas landing midweek this year, our travel advisers have been working closely with members to navigate the season and make their plans come to life.”
