Amkor announces additional $5B investment into Peoria manufacturing campus

Phase 2 adds 650K square feet to facility, total $12B investment

Amkor Technology has announced a second phase of its Peoria location, and with it an addition of nearly 650,000 square feet to its campus, amounting to an increased total investment of $12 billion in the Innovation Core site.

Amkor Technology, a provider of outsourced semiconductor packaging and test services, said the expansion is driven by “strong customer commitments” and will bring the campus to approximately 1 million square feet of cleanroom space.

The company previously announced a $7 billion investment with phase 1, and a $1.5 billion multiyear agreement with AI giant Nvidia.
