In a market full of antique items, shoppers at Merchant Square Antique Mall may not always be looking for collectables: American Way Smokehouse Manager Micah Sanders said the restaurant nestled within the shopping center is Chandler’s greatest poorly-kept secret.
Located at 1509 North Arizona Avenue, American Way Smokehouse features freshly baked goods, a variety of vintage bottled sodas and smoked sandwiches. Sanders said the flavors highlighted at the restaurant are the best barbeque has to offer and give a unique taste of Arizona’s culinary culture.
“I think the pulled pork sandwich is one of the best in Arizona,” Sanders said. “If you’re looking for something sweeter, our cookies are the best I’ve ever had.”
