Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels sets annual gala for Sept. 30

Fundraiser supports child cancer warriors

Posted

The Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels 11th annual Night of Hope Gala is scheduled for 6–10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa At Gainey Ranch.

This cocktail, black tie-optional event raises much needed financial resources to support the mission and services of Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, which offers counseling, Comfycozy’s for Chemo apparel, financial assistance and Major Distraction events for childhood cancer warriors and their families.

“I lost my daughter and husband to cancer,” founder Lorraine Tallman said in a press release. “I honor both of them and their legacies by supporting families in the way I needed to be supported but was not. Individual health, well-being and self-care is a priority put to the wayside during this most stressful and trying time. This gala recognizes the important work that staff, volunteers and donors do in support of our community and those affected.”

The Night of Hope Gala is not possible without generous supporters who underwrite the evening’s expenses. A variety of event sponsorships are currently available and range from $1,000 to $25,000. For more information about sponsorship opportunities and to become a sponsor, visit amandahope.org/gala.

Tables and tickets are now available for purchase at amandahope.org/gala as well. Additionally, if an individual or organization has an auction item to donate, email Allie Brooks at Allie@amandahope.org.

Bidding for the auction opens in September and you do not have to be present to bid on the silent auction. Individuals are asked to download the free HandBid app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. If an individual does not already have an account, they will be prompted or register or may sign in if they have previously used the app.

Those individuals who cannot attend but are interested in supporting Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, a donation to support the warrior families can be made online at amandahope.org/gala or by mailing a check to 340 E. Coronado Road, Suite 100, Phoenix.

For general questions about the event, contact Morgan Webre at Morgan@amandahope.org or call 602-612-5372.
