Aly Cline picked new Surprise vice mayor

District 2 councilwoman unanimously chosen

Surprise District 2 Councilwoman Aly Cline has been picked by the Surprise City Council to be the city's new vice mayor.

Cline, who just completed her first year on the council, was picked in a 6-0 vote by the Council at its Jan. 18 meeting. Councilman Ken Remley, who was attending the meeting by phone, abstained because the vote was required to be written.

Patrick Duffy, the councilman from the southwestern District 3, served as vice mayor for the last year.
