Nearing five score, Alverta outlived three husbands, was an original member of the Sun City Poms, the first woman president of Union Hills Country Club and a beloved member of Fountain Hills Lutheran Church. Mother of two boys, grandmother of three and great-grandmother of four, she was loved by many and disfavored by none.
“God has you forever mom and we have the pain. You’ve got the sunshine and we got the rain.”
