Local 74-year-old race car enthusiast Jerry Weaver gets behind the wheel every Monday and Tuesday as he races with people all over the world from the comfort of his own home.
Mr. Weaver, not your typical esport player, found his love for iRacing seven years ago and has been participating in races twice a week with his brother and nephew ever since.
The love for iRacing stems from Mr. Weaver’s love for NASCAR racing. The effects of simulation racing have only made Mr. Weaver’s appreciation for the sport grow stronger.
