Allen L. Starkey was called home on November 2, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born to Lenore E & Roy S Starkey in Lagrange, Ohio on January 13, 1934. The family lived in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, where Al attended elementary, followed by Orange High School.He was a tractor-trailer driver for his dad at the age of 16. After graduation, Al enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving three of his four years in Europe. He was a flight engineer on C-119 Flying Boxcar Cargo Aircraft.Al spent two years at The Ohio State University College of Business where he met his wife, Marge (Boling). They married in 1958.Al spent 26 years with the Hobart Corporation in various positions from service technician, branch manager in several branches, regional manager in the Middle Pacific Region, and District Sales Agent in three different cities in the U.S.A.Several years were spent as a Franchisee for Little Caesars Pizza in Monterey County, California.Allen is survived by his wife, four children Hadley (Evelyn), Wesley (Marla), Nancy Flynn (David), and Emily Peak, five grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. Brother Ralph passed just 6 weeks prior to Allen.A memorial service is being held Saturday December 9th at 11:00 A.M. at the Willowbrook United Methodist Church, 19390 N. 99th Ave, Sun City. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery, Wayne County, Ohio.
