It is with great sadness that we announce the pass-ing of our son, Alexander Michael Mirabella, on Sunday, February 15, 2026 (dob 6/25/96). For those who don’t know, Alex was confined to a wheelchair for the last
15 years due to muscular dystrophy. Despite his challenges he was an incredibly upbeat and in the-moment person. Alex was also known for his sophisticated humor and sharp intellect.
Music was his great love. He completed the certificate program in Audio Production Technologies at Scottsdale Community College.
He produced his own electronic music (Dissonator Music on Soundcloud) as well as engineering recordings for others. Alex had a great ear and an encyclopedic knowledge of all things music!
He loved traveling and had been all over the U.S., Canada as well as the Mediterranean. Alex was adventurous and loved to explore new places, and especially different cuisines. He was quite the foodie!
Because of his positive attitude he made our life as parents with him so much better than we had envisioned. Alex really inspired us. He was the bravest person we knew and will be tremendously missed not only by his parents but also by his Uncle Kevin and Aunt Julie, Aunt Linda and Uncle Paul, his cousin Brian and family Aubrey, Keegan and Maddie, his cousin Lauren and family, Jaylyn and Jayden, his cousin Connor and partner Sofia as well as friends far and wide.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills, AZ.
