Ajo Al’s Mexican restaurant is to be on the north side of the 2200 to 2300 blocks of East Baseline Road in Mesa.

An Ajo Al’s Mexican Restaurant with an outdoor patio is planned east of Gilbert Road on the north side of Baseline Road in Mesa.

The Mesa Design Review Board on Aug. 13 discussed the look and landscaping for the full-service restaurant on a 1-acre parcel. Board member Paul Johnson was absent.

“We look forward to seeing this repurpose happen,” Chair Scott Thomas said.
