Agua Fria district settles lawsuit from White teacher alleging discrimination

The Agua Fria Union High School District has signed a settlement agreement with a former teacher who  claimed he was discriminated against due to his “white privilege.”

The school board approved the agreement during a March 8 session. The board discussed and approved the settlement in a private executive session before approving it in a public hearing with no discussion.

The board agreed to pay Christopher Thomas Cool $28,000. The settlement agreement does not confirm an admission of guilt. No narrative was found in the settlement agreement.
