Nate Hunt's letter on the necessity of protected bike lanes in Queen Creek as well as other parts of the Valley really opened my eyes.
Cyclists will often say that getting hit is inevitable, and drivers often demean cyclists, even though cyclists are reducing traffic.
Why should we accept these conditions when other cities have implemented solutions to these safety problems?
For the climate, the urban heat island and our health, we should build protected bike lanes.
