I totally agree with Ana Luisa Navaro’s letter to the editor about pharmacy reform.
I have macular degeneration and glaucoma. My glaucoma specialist ordered me a new additional medication. It’s a generic drug.
I was going to see about having it delivered by a popular mail-order pharmacy because it’s only a 50-day supply. The mail-order price was $76 per bottle while my local pharmacy charges $27 a bottle.
When you have to buy it seven or eight times a year on limited income even, $27 a bottle is a lot of money.
