After a Scottsdale cop rear-ends motorist, city settles lawsuit

The city of Scottsdale has agreed to pay $135,000 to settle a lawsuit stemming from a vehicle crash caused by a police officer.

The Scottsdale City Council approved the agreement with Dana Joe McDonald at an April 6 meeting.

According to a Scottsdale city council report, on Sept. 12, 2018, an auto accident near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and the Loop 101 frontage road occurred as a Scottsdale police officer reportedly rear-ended the plaintiff Dana Joe McDonald’s vehicle while the officer was on duty.
