Affordability continues to be a struggle for many in Peoria and beyond

Whether it’s food, bills, or paying rent and mortgage, resources becoming more and more stressed

The line starts early for the free grocery distribution at the William Patena Community Center every Thursday in Peoria.

Food packages usually include bread, fresh produce, proteins, and other groceries. The food is free for those who may need it, and it is a service the city, in partnership with other groups, has offered for many years.

But these days, the lines are getting longer.
