ADOT to keep Valley freeways open until 2021

The Arizona Department of Transportation is keeping Valley freeways open through the holidays, with no planned full closures between today and Monday morning, Jan. 4.

ADOT officials said there may be some maintenance work done on the Valley’s roads, but the agency has a tradition of not closing freeways for work the last two weeks of the year.

Instead, ADOT officials encourage motorists to drive safely during the holiday season.
