State transportation officials are looking to the public for comments on user charges and pricing as part of the first phase in a proposed statewide network of fast charging stations.
The Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled a virtual public hearing 6-8 p.m. Oct. 18. A formal presentation will be followed by questions and answers. Public comments start at 7 p.m.

The program “encourages adoption of electric vehicles by reducing range anxiety and encouraging consumers to consider electric vehicles as viable alternatives to gasoline-powered cars,” ADOT officials said
ADOT will manage the charging station network through a private-public partnership.
