ADOT opens I-17 section ahead of schedule

(ADOT)

A section of southbound Interstate 17 lanes in Phoenix have reopened early, state transportation officials said Saturday morning.

The closure, which was between Loop 101 and Thunderbird Road, was necessary to replace several overhead signs.

The road was scheduled to be closed until Sunday morning.
